Its looks like EA is going to be doing away with their Online Pass for their upcoming titles.
“Yes, we’re discontinuing Online Pass,” EA’s senior director of corporate communications John Reseburg “We’ve listened to the feedback and decided to do away with it moving forward.”
I believe this is good news as requiring to enter the online pass to play online is always a downfall especially if you plan on selling that particular game. The Online Pass was first introduced in 2010 and the revenue generated between $10-$15 million for EA in its first year alone.
